GENERAL RULES (Print And DPI)

All entries need to be submitted beforehand to the competition secretaries - see each year`s programme for the specific entry date
Should the entry level be high, the club reserves the right to limit entries to the priority 1 entry in each class
Titles of the images should be restricted to 50 characters.

All print entries should be clearly labelled with entry name and member initials as other club entries (i.e. panel_MEM)

Rules for OPEN Competitions

As GENERAL RULES with additional:

There are separate Intermediate and Advanced categories.
Open competitions mean there are no restrictions as to the theme of the image
There are 3 classes of entry: Colour Print, Monochrome Print and DPI
Members may submit up to two entries for each class and determine the priority of each image as priority 1 or 2.

Rules for THEMED Competitions

As GENERAL and OPEN RULES with exceptions:

The topics for Themed competitions are determined at the AGM and annual awards meeting
The themes are not too restrictive and although open to the individual's interpretation, entries must have some element of the theme evident.

Rules for PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR Competitions

As GENERAL and OPEN RULES with exceptions:

There is no differentiation between Intermediate and Advanced entry

Rules for PANELS Competitions

As GENERAL RULES with additional:

There is no differentiation between Intermediate and Advanced entry
There is only one class of entry for this competition
A panel shall consist between 3 and 5 images linked by a recognizable theme, of the author`s own choice.
No more than two of these images may have been used in previous FODCC Competitions.
Different versions of the "same image" may be used.

Print panels will normally be individual prints. The first print must have a diagram on the reverse showing the desired layout of the panel.
It will be for the member to lay out the prints in the desired order for judging.
Alternatively an entry may have all images on one mount provided that the mount size does not exceed 40cm x 50cm.

DI panels should entered as a montage image showing the layout of the panel followed by each the individual panel images.
Each DI panel should be enclosed in a digital folder each with entry name and member initials as other club entries (i.e. panel_MEM)
